Changes Boost Australia Immigration

Additionally, there will be a new Graduate Occupation List published before the invitation round in December.

WA was finding a tough time in enrolments of student visa in the past. As per an article the share of WA in the global student market had a decline from 25 percent in 2009 to 5 percent presently.

Moreover, the present government was shunning migrants and had requested the removal of Perth as the regional area specifically for Subclass 187 Regional Sponsored visas, and this was obliged by the federal government.

Causes and A New Approach

Furthermore, The WA government adopted a restrictive strategy to attract global talent regarding nomination for a General Skilled Migration when compared to other states in Australia. As a result there was a decline in the enrollments of international students.

As an answer, the new requirements that are relaxed will help to resuscitate the waning numbers among the overseas student. Vocational graduates need completing the Certificate III or above but there is an exception for trade occupations. A two-year study norm will count for Intensive Courses in English Language for Overseas Students as well as for VET education courses. Presently, the Western Australia government has realized the importance of the global student market especially towards the local economy. Apart from iron ore and coal, services related to education are Australia’s big exports.
